Higher Power aim higher on forthcoming LP and Roadrunner Records debut

Holy shit this single rips! If the single is a preview of what's to come, then I'm 100% in on this new LP from Leeds hardcore act Higher Power. This sounds like a natural progression from their last LP, where the verses are still heavy, the groove is still in tact, but the chorus of the single brings a new sense of melodicism with a hook laiden ear worm you can sing along too. Think Turnstile or Snapcase in the verses meets Janes Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, and the more melodic side of Deftones in the chorus. I can't quite put my finger on what exactly this reminds me of, but I like what they're doing with this single. I hope the rest of the album lives up to this. Maybe a hyrbid of late 90s hardcore/groove-core meets 90s alternative rock/grunge/metal. Whatver it is, it works!
