Free Throw is an American emopunk band hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, and is part of the emo punk revival scene. Their sound is influenced by bands like Snowing, Algernon Cadwallader, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance. They have released four full-length albums and three EPs, and will be releasing their upcoming 5th LP through Wax Bodega.

Moments Before The Wind

Nashville-based emo-punk quintet Free Throw have announced their new album, Moments Before The Wind, which will be released on March, 27 2026 via Wax Bodega. The first single, A Hero’s Grave, juxtaposes a serpentine guitar line and buoyant ’90s groove against vocalist Cory Castro’s gruff vocals, showcasing the band's signature sound. Drawing inspiration from their own experiences, including the dissolution of a long-term relationship and impending fatherhood, this release is described as a powerful exploration of life's fragile structures. The new LP will contain 11 brand new tracks with distinctive sonic qualities and poignant lyricism, and will hopefully be a standout addition to Free Throw's discography. Free Throw drop second single 'The Outlaw Star' taken from forthcoming LP due March 27th

Nashville-TN- Free Throw have released their second single, 'The Outlaw Star', taken from their new album, Moments Before The Wind to be released on 27th March 2026 via Wax Bodega. "The Outlaw Star was born from the ashes of a failed attempt while working in the studio. We took the best parts of a broken song and reworked it to fit a faster more complete thought. The pace and power of Outlaw Star complement the entirety of ‘MBTW’. " says the band.
