Chicago-based shoegaze / dream-pop band Muted Color is gearing up to release their debut LP, "take i lovely you," via Fever Ltd on July 5, 2024. The album, seamlessly combines sounds reminiscent of 90s dream pop, brit-pop and shoegaze, featuring 8 new tracks characterized by melodic layers of guitars and dreamy hooks. With a sound akin to bands like Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Ride, along with more recent bands like Soft Blue Shimmer and Keep, Muted Color's lead single "sudden change" aligns well with the current shoegaze revival scene and is a welcomed slice of jangly dream pop.
