About this Artist
The Forecast is an American western emo band from Peoria, Illinois. The Forecast's sound is most recognizable for containing strong two and three part harmonies performed by combinations of their multiple vocalists, as heard in tracks such as "Red as the Moon" and "One Hundred Percent". The first incarnation of indie rock quartet the Forecast came together in Peoria, IL, in 2001, comprised of Dustin Addis (vocals/guitar), Rhys Miller (drums/vocals), Jared Grabb (guitar/vocals), and Marsha Satterfield (bass/vocals). The band members took inspiration from both their blue-collar roots and acts like Braid, Rainer Maria, and the Get Up Kids. in 2004 the group underwent a drastic lineup change that left Addis as the only remaining member. The Forecast were soon made whole again, however, with the recruitment of Shannon Burns (bass/vocals), Matt Webb (guitar/vocals), and Tony Peck (drums). The band signed to Victory Records and released two LPs on Victory, before signing to Eyeball Records to release a self titled LP followed by their last album titled Everybody Left, which was released in 2012 on Clifton Motel records. After a long hiatus, the band is back with a new LP set for release in February 2024.
