Wavves x Say Anything

Wavves x Say Anything is the collaborative project from Wavves’ Nathan Williams and Say Anything’s Max Bemis. Together they fuse Nathan Williams’ fuzzed out garage-pop instincts with Max Bemis’ emo-rooted songwriting for a collaborative album that aims for what Williams calls an “early 2000s Wavves emo record.” Their debut full-length, Cherry Soda, arrives September 18, 2026 via I Surrender Records.

Wavves and Say Anything announce collaborative album Cherry Soda and share new single “Deathx1k”

Wavves and Say Anything have announced a new collaborative album, Cherry Soda, due September 18, 2026 via I Surrender Records. The ten-song LP was co-written by Wavves’ Nathan Williams and Say Anything’s Max Bemis and produced by Aaron Rubin (Blink 182).

The first preview is “Deathx1k,” which arrives with a claymation video directed by Stephen Coad. Scroll down to watch the video and listen to the new single.

The collaboration pulls from both artists’ long-running instincts for warped, hook-heavy guitar music. Williams described the record’s starting point as wanting to hear what “an early 2000s Wavves emo record” might sound like, calling the idea “a mall emo record.” Bemis said the writing process pushed both artists into different spaces, with Williams becoming “more emo” and Bemis becoming “more Wavves-y.”

Cherry Soda features ten new songs and is available to pre-order now through I Surrender Records. For more information, see below.

Wavves and Say Anything share soaring new single “Still Alive” from collaborative LP Cherry Soda

Wavves and Say Anything have shared “Still Alive,” the latest single from their forthcoming collaborative album Cherry Soda, out September 18 via I Surrender Records.

The ten-song album was co-written by Wavves’ Nathan Williams and Say Anything’s Max Bemis and produced by Aaron Rubin (Blink-182). “Still Alive” follows lead single “Deathx1k,” leaning into the soaring power-pop and emo crossover at the heart of the collaboration.

Williams says the song began as a voice note recorded in the bathroom of a dive bar called Club Marina. After rediscovering it weeks later, he says the full song came together in about forty minutes.

Stream “Still Alive” and watch the video below. Cherry Soda arrives September 18, 2026 via I Surrender Records.
