Loathe

The Cold Sun is the debut studio album from Liverpool heavy metal band Loathe, released in June 2017 via SharpTone Records. Recorded in Atlanta, Georgia and produced by Matt McLennan, the album announced Loathe as a serious force in the UK metalcore scene. Concept-heavy in nature, it showcases the band's ability to move fluidly between crushing, down-tuned aggression and melodic, atmospheric passages. The record earned the band critical attention and led to support tours with acts including Bury Tomorrow and Harbinger, as well as nominations for Heavy Music Awards Best UK Breakthrough Band and Metal Hammer Golden Gods Best New Band in 2018.
