Loathe

The Things They Believe is the third studio album from Liverpool's Loathe, released on February 7, 2021 via SharpTone Records. Conceived as a companion and extension to their acclaimed 2020 album I Let It In and It Took Everything, the record is composed entirely of ambient tracks. Where its predecessor balanced crushing metal with atmospheric interludes, The Things They Believe leans fully into the expansive, meditative side of Loathe's sound — stripping away the heaviness to reveal the textural and emotional core underneath. It serves as both a standalone work and a deepening of the universe established by the previous album.
