The Casket Lottery return with blistering new single and new album announcement

2020 has certainly been a rough year. A lot of low notes and not too many highs. A high note however, is that 2020 has brought us a number of unexpected album releases from many of the artists that produced some of my favorite music in the mid/late 90s. First Hum dropped a surprise release this past June which I highly recommend. Then, Deftones announced their forthcoming LP dropping later this month. Shades Apart also dropped their first LP in almost 20 years last month. Time Spent Driving recently released a new EP as well. Even Garrison (Revelation Records band from late 90s) recently released an LP of older b-sides and harder to find EP and comp singles from their earlier days. All great stuff! And now, we can add The Casket Lottery to the list of surprise new releases to look forward to. Back with a brand new LP of 10 new songs and their first new material in over 8 years, The Casket Lottery have picked up right where they left off, with the release of their new single "Born Lonely". Listen to the new single and you'll hear their angsty indie/emo/post-hardcore sound of the late 90s, but bigger and bolder, and with their continued knack for writing a heavy groove with a big hook! Post-hardcore elements of bands like Quicksand, Sparta, and Texas is the Reason mixed with Casket Lottery's trademark mid-western indie/emo sound (bands like Braid, Cursive, Small Brown Bike, Get Up Kids, etc) make this album one of my most anticipated of the year! Don't sleep on new The Casket Lottery and pre-order this album right away!
