November 8, 2019Long Island, New York's Macseal are excited to announce the release of their full-length debut, "Super Enthusiast", out November 8th on 6131 Records (Julien Baker, Worriers). Working with engineer Justin Pizzoferrato (Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies), the Long Island outfit explore a range of joyful guitar pop and multi-part harmonies tempered with math rock riffs and J Mascis inspired solos. All expertly paired with a sometimes morose and self-deprecating lyricism sure to win over more than a few David Bazan fans, You can stream the first single "Always Hazy" taken from the forthcoming LP below.

Macseal ready debut LP
Pretty impressed with the musical progression of Macseal's new material. These long islanders do a great job of combining melody and layers of guitars to create a brand of emo/indie pop reminiscent of late 90s Promise Ring or Get Up Kids mixed with elements of Nada Surf and Pedro the Lion style emo-ish indie pop. Good stuff and check out their bandcamp page where they just dropped their new single Graduating Life as well. Look forward to hearing the full length.
