Anxious Share Heavy New Standalone Single “Secret Weapon”

Anxious are back with “Secret Weapon,” a heavy, blown-out alternative rock single out September 16 via Run For Cover Records. Following August’s “Don’t Move,” it marks the Connecticut band’s second new song since their 2025 sophomore album Bambi. The guitars hit hard, but the band’s knack for big, melodic songwriting remains front and center.

Guitarist and co-vocalist Dante Melucci says the song takes aim at the music business’s fixation on statistics and trends, and the pressure those numbers can put on artists to shape their work around what is currently popular.

“Secret Weapon” is a standalone single, with no new album announced. Anxious are currently on a North American run with Citizen, Hotline TNT and Cryogeyser. Stream the new single here, and watch the video below.
