Citizen Unleash Blistering New Single “Good Fortune” From Forthcoming Album Halcyon Blues

Citizen have shared “Good Fortune,” the massive opening track from their forthcoming album Halcyon Blues, due out this Friday, August 7, via Run For Cover Records.

Driven by a fast-paced beat, towering melodies, and Mat Kerekes’ unmistakable raw vocals, “Good Fortune” offers one final preview of the new record before its release. This should hit especially hard for fans of Citizen’s earlier material, channeling the urgency of those records while retaining the sharper hooks, sonic landscape and expanded scope of their more recent work. The song follows previously released singles “I Can See You From Here,” “Halcyon Blues,” and “Highs and Lows.”

Halcyon Blues draws from across Citizen’s catalog, pairing the urgency of their earlier work with the broader hooks and scale of their more recent material. The album was recorded by Kerekes and mixed by Tom Lord-Alge.

Citizen will support the album with an extensive world tour, including a North American run with Anxious, Hotline TNT, Rocket, and Cryogeyser, followed by dates in the UK, Europe, and Australia.
