Brooklyn’s Crate have shared “Crushed to Nothing,” the closing track and final preview of their self-titled debut, out November 13 via Good English Records. Fuzzed-out guitars and gliding synths surround Ezra Engler’s vocals before the song opens into a cathartic release.

“The main sentiment is about caring deeply about someone who is in a bad position,” Engler explains. “You do whatever you can to help them out, but you realize at the end of the day the only person that can help them is themselves.”

Its spoken-word outro turns toward hindsight and the things you wish you had done differently.

Produced and mixed by Cody Hudgins alongside Gift’s TJ Freda, the 11-track album pairs shoegaze distortion with the spacious, unhurried pull of slowcore. Listen below, and visit the album page for the full tracklist and preorder details.
