Dazy—the moniker and recording project of Richmond, Virginia singer/songwriter and producer James Goodson—has announced MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2: 24 Songs From 2023-2026, due October 23, 2026 via Lame-O Records. The 24-track collection pulls together three years of singles and EPs alongside seven brand-new songs, with the new material opening the record before the tracklist moves backward through Dazy’s recent run.

Alongside the announcement, Goodson has shared “Beat Change,” a sprawling opener that drops a boom-bap beat underneath a wall of guitars, samples and layered production. Dazy songs are always a vibe, packed with the kind of fuzzy ’90s alternative rock and power-pop greatness that makes even his scrappiest recordings feel huge, and “Beat Change” pushes that formula into an even more layered direction without losing the hooks.

The collection includes material from BIG Problem b/w Gravity, Bad Penny, I GET LOST (when i try to get found) and IT’S ONLY A SECRET (if you repeat it), along with the seven new tracks. Goodson has said he views Dazy’s shorter releases as snapshots that still belong to a larger body of work, and this second MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD volume brings that bigger picture into focus.

Dazy will also head out on a six-week North American tour beginning September 6 with Militarie Gun, Softcult and Shady Nasty.
