Capillary

New Jersey has produced some of the greatest emo and rock bands of all time, and the state is continuing to build the next generation of soon to be staple acts. Enter Capillary, the four piece crafting emotive and powerful tracks sure to capture the attention of even the most staunch genre purists. Signed to 51st State Records (run by Joey Chiaramonte of Koyo), the band released their debut self-titled EP in early 2024. Gearing up to release a full-length in 2026, today Capillary share a two song promo - "Lost Sleep" and "Time Before The Order.”

Taking influence from bands like Rites of Spring, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Mineral, you’ll hear strong building melodies, compelling riffs, and poignant vocals. “Lost Sleep” captures living in New Jersey - “a melancholy feeling in the air sometimes longing for those really simple and blissful times,” while "Time Before The Order" calls out the feeling of longing for someone. The tracks were recorded, mixed, and mastered with Justin Bartlett at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA (All Under Heaven, Carly Cosgrove).

News updates for Capillary

NJ emo/alt-rock band Capillary announce debut LP and release new single “Plainview” featuring Joey Chiaramonte of Koyo

On January 2nd, 2026, New Jersey emo / alternative band Capillary will release their debut album, in remembrance, through 51st State Records. Formed in 2023, Capillary are crafting emotive and powerful tracks sure to capture the attention of even the most staunch genre purists. Taking influence from bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, and Title Fight, you’ll hear strong building melodies, compelling riffs, and poignant vocals. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered with Justin Bartlett at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA (All Under Heaven, Carly Cosgrove)

Having teased with early singles "Lost Sleep" and "Time Before The Order,” today NJ emo-punk band Capillary unveil the reflective single “Plainview” featuring guest vocals from Joey Chiaramonte of Koyo. The song weaves through dynamic melodies and nostalgic lyrics, perfect to reinvigorate on even the harshest of winter days.

On the track vocalist / guitarist Jake Rubin shares:

“This song is about reflection and checking ourselves as we face the irreversible passage of time - We’ve all grown from certain people and places - but we’ve most likely grown from people and places that we miss - this rumination comes with reflection and memories; In this case good memories, as we walk down memory lane in this song and visit the places I use to go. Joey from Koyo echoes this sentiment in his feature, mirroring the stories with a complimentary Long Island tale. In the end of the song we find ourselves excited for the next chapter and appreciating where we’re currently at, so it’s all in good spirits.”

Album is now available for pre-order and you can stream the previously released singles from the forthcoming LP below. Fans of Anxious, Title Fight, No Pressure, One Step Closer and the like should take note.
