Feldspar are a Rome-based band caught between scenes and continents, pairing the urgency of hardcore with the melodic pull of power-pop, modern punk, and ’90s alternative rock.
Formed in 2023 by vocalist Riccardo Zamurri and songwriter-producer Stefano Casanica, the project grew into a wide-ranging lineup featuring guitarist Andrew Mecoli, vocalists Gwen Mowat, Marianne Leone, and Viviana Di Bari, bassist Manlio Massimetti, and drummer Luca Micheli. Together they turn post-hardcore tension and layered songwriting into something sharp, catchy, and restless. The band’s transatlantic sound lands somewhere between Militarie Gun, Wishy, Fugazi, and Koyo.
Rome-based Feldspar have announced their new album, Soft Side, arriving October 9. Produced by Jon Markson and Alan Day, the 10-track record finds the band balancing power-pop hooks, '90s alternative textures, modern punk, and hardcore urgency.
The announcement arrives with the catchy new single “Heart Is A Ghetto,” which leans into the band’s trademark trade-off vocals while shifting between sugary melodies, pop hooks, and an aggressive hardcore edge.
