Flycatcher

Forming in New Brunswick, New Jersey in the Fall of 2016, Flycatcher began crafting dynamic songs centered around crushing swells of jagged guitar-hooks, propulsive drumming, and deftly emotive lyrics. Following a period of extensive gigging and writing through 2018, the band teamed up with Kyle Pulley of Thin Lips to produce the high-energy, kaleidoscopic textures of their debut album, Other Things. Shortly after the release, the band joined Joe Webster at PonderRosa Studios to begin work on their follow-up record. Released in Summer 2019, the driving, angular melancholy of Songs for Strangers saw Flycatcher develop their song-craft through cohesive arrangements and vulnerable, immersive lyrics. The band is now gearing up to release a new full length LP titled "Wrench" produced by Will Yip in October 2025.

Flycatcher share new song "Flood" from debut LP

Flycatcher has just released the latest single "Flood" from their forthcoming LP, a slice of breezy window's down indie rock with twangy guitars and monster hooks, that are sure to get stuck in your head for days.

Flycatcher have found their stride. Their blend of twangy indie rock, worn-in emo revival, and road ready anthems built for driving with the windows down hit in a way that feels both surprising and inevitable. On their upcoming full-length, Wrench, the NJ-based band expands on the foundation of their previous releases with a newfound Americana-inspired warmth, leaning into Gregory Pease's raspy, lived-in vocals to bring it home.

Almost cut from the final record, new single "Flood" became essential once its demo revealed a chorus too massive to ignore. The song details the band's decision to pursue music knowing the odds and all that comes with them. Sonically, they land somewhere between Manchester Orchestra and Taking Back Sunday in one way, and Hotline TNT and MJ Lenderman in another.

Earlier this year, the band returned to Pennsylvania to work with Grammy-nominated producer Will Yip, who is releasing Wrench via his label, Memory Music. The record is also taken to new heights with the addition of guest vocalist Brianna Collins of Tigers Jaw, whose featured on the standout track "Man on the Run." Throughout, Flycatcher sounds sharper and more self-assured than ever as they weave a delicate balance between raw emotion and melodic grit.
