Paris-based band Mascara, born from a blend of tension and liberation, delivers a captivating, well crafted and smart sonic fusion of heavy alternative rock, dreamy shoegaze and post-hardcore, with elements of 90s grunge and nü metal sprinkled in. Formed in 2019, their discography showcases a progression of introspective and explosive sounds, culminating in their first full-length album, 'Going Postal,' set for release on March 13th, 2026 through Fever Ltd, home to amazing bands like Heavenward, Fly Over States and Muted Colors. Drawing from influences like Deftones, Alice in Chains, Silverchair, MBV, Nothing, Chevelle, Hum and the like, Mascara's music delves into themes of generational trauma, memory, and the perpetual struggle for personal and global resilience, fueled by heavy guitar tones, pummeling drums, thick grooves, and dreamy vocals. Recorded in an intense week with producer Clément Decrock at Boss Hog Studio, the album delivers a visceral experience with its pulsating force of guitars, swirling rhythms, and haunting vocals. On March 13th, Paris, France based band, MASCARA will unleash their first full-length, Going Postal, through Fever Ltd. The nine tracks were born from tension between collapse and liberation, creating an impressive blend of shoegaze, post-hardcore, and alternative rock. Having already shared the explosive “NOVA ADOR” and cathartic “MARROW”, today Mascara release new single “NERIUM.”

“NERIUM” is an intoxicating spell initiated through distant, swirling vocals and throbbing rhythms. The intensity in the repetitions of the track rise as it progresses as Valentin Beaucourt belts, “Stuck for ages / I’ll let it go.” Stream “NERIUM” below.

“‘Nerium takes its name from the oleander, a beautiful but poisonous flower. It grows even in the most arid places, like a tenacious poison. It attracts you, soothes you, but every part of it is toxic. The song evokes the illusion of control that imprisons us and the silent denial that prevents us from facing reality. It speaks of addiction and the need to forget when the world becomes too heavy to bear.”
