Public Opinion Share New Single "I Pay Everyone I Still Talk To"

Denver punk band Public Opinion have shared their new single, “I Pay Everyone I Still Talk To,” the latest preview of their forthcoming sophomore album The Curse Of Public Opinion, out August 7 via SideOneDummy.

The track follows “Balloon Man Running” and “When Kevin Gets Free,” offering another shot of the band’s sneering, garage-punk attack: 2000s rock swagger, classic punk hooks, and a little hardcore bite, all wrapped around Kevin Hart’s messy, human take on disappointment and complicated relationships.

Public Opinion Share New Single/Video "When Kevin Gets Free" from forthcoming LP

Denver, CO punk upstarts Public Opinion recently announced their upcoming sophomore album, The Curse of Public Opinion, and today they're back with another ferocious new single, "When Kevin Gets Free." The new song follows lead single "Balloon Man Running" (which drew praise from Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, Alt Press, and more) and showcases Public Opinion's ability to seamlessly combine eye-bulching anger with unbridled melody. It's a primal rock & roll song for hanging onto grudges, and it's sure to help you blow off a little steam--even if only for two minutes. Fans of The Hives, Spiritual Cramp and The Vines blend of melodic post-punk and punchy alt-rock should enjoy this.
