Legendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records and Quicksand are excited to present the music video for “Crystallize,” the latest single to be lifted from the Friday, July 17 release of Bring On The Psychics, the forthcoming studio album from the New York City post-hardcore veterans. Legendary NY post-hardcore band Quicksand have just announced their new album "Bring On The Psychics" on July 17, 2026 via Equal Vision Records, marking a blend of the band's heavy 90s groove-laden sound, with a modern, experimental approach. “For this album, I was going back to a lot of my earlier influences about ‘Break Down The Walls’ or ‘Start Today,’” says lead guitarist/vocalist Walter Schreifels. Rounded out by long time bassist/vocalist Sergio Vega, and drummer Alan Cage, the album offers energetic tracks like lead off singles “Get To It” which sounds like a cross between Snapcase, Turnstile and classic Quicksand (you can definitely hear how Walter tapped back into Youth of Today and Gorilla Biscuits), and “Regenerate,” another immediate and punchy track with their trademark grooves, that also taps into the more experimental side of the band during the bridge, before climaxing with a classic shout along hook "Balance, Pride, Humility!" Known for their hardcore roots, Quicksand's latest release promises a dynamic musical journey that appeals to both longtime fans and newcomers. Legendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records and post-hardcore legends Quicksand are pleased to present “Cool Guy,” the latest single to be lifted from the Friday, July 17 release of Bring On The Psychics, the first album in five years from the iconic NYC post-hardcore trio. "’Cool Guy’ is like an OG HC diss track, like ‘Small Man, Big Mouth’ by Minor Threat or ‘Hypocrite’ by Negative Approach,” the band said. “Sometimes you just gotta get those negative emotions out." This track absolutely rips, with its heavy groove, and angsty delivery, bringing back that classic old school Quicksand feel.

Quicksand have released their new album Bring On The Psychics today via Equal Vision Records. The record is the New York post-hardcore band's first full-length in five years and was produced and mixed by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Drain).

Across ten tracks, Bring On The Psychics connects the groove-heavy force of Quicksand's early work with the more expansive direction of their recent records. The album moves from the hook-driven weight of “Get To It” and the locked-in attack of “Cool Guy” to the shoegaze textures of “Crystallize” and the more subdued “Days You Run To.”

“For this album, I was going back to a lot of my earlier influences about ‘Break Down The Walls’ or ‘Start Today,’” guitarist/vocalist Walter Schreifels says. “They’re speaking to the time and providing possible paths to a better future … with mosh parts. That’s the energy that I wanted to bring to this.”
