Saves the Day Return With First New Song in Eight Years, “INVADER,” Featuring Walter Schreifels
Saves the Day are back with “INVADER,” their first original song in eight years. The new single features guest vocals from Walter Schreifels of Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits and Rival Schools, who also co-wrote the track with the band.
Released via Equal Vision Records, “INVADER” is described as a spiritual successor to Youth of Today’s “Disengage,” carrying that song’s hardcore spirit forward with a message centered on unity and transcendence. “It was a dream to work on ‘INVADER’ together with our hero Walter Schreifels at his studio in Upstate New York, and we’re still pinching ourselves that he co-wrote this song with us,” Saves the Day’s Chris Conley says. “Bringing the song to life with Steve Evetts in Nashville and New Jersey was like coming home after a long stay away, and we couldn’t be more proud of the results.”
The Sean Stout-directed video for “INVADER” is streaming now. Saves the Day also head out this fall supporting Taking Back Sunday and Thrice in the U.S., followed by a UK run celebrating the 25th anniversary of Stay What You Are.
