Spiritual Cramp is a San Francisco-based band known for blending hardcore punk with diverse influences like ska, dub, post-punk, and new wave. October 24, 2025San Francisco post-punk band Spiritual Cramp is set to release their sophomore album RUDE on October 24th through Blue Grape Music. Produced by John Congleton and featuring a duet with Sharon Van Etten, the album showcases an evolved blend of new wave, indie rock, punk, dub, and hip-hop influences. Singles such as "At My Funeral," "Young Offenders," and "Automatic" display the band's new songwriting depth while maintaining their punk roots, offering a mix of cheekiness, vulnerability, and raw energy akin to classic bands like The Clash, The Killers, Devo, and newer bands like Militarie Gun, High Vis and Home Front.
