The Republic of Wolves Return With “No Return,” Announce Fourth LP Upthread, Downthread
The Republic of Wolves are back with “No Return,” the first single from their newly announced fourth full-length album, Upthread, Downthread.
The Long Island indie rock/emo favorites haven't revealed much about the record yet, other than its title and that more album details are on the way. Upthread, Downthread will be the band's first full-length since 2018's outstanding shrine.
“No Return” continues a welcome stretch of new music from the band, following 2025 singles “Wildering” and “Heat Signature,” as well as the excellent 2023 EP Why Would Anyone Want to Live This Long?.
We've been big fans of The Republic of Wolves since their inception, and it's great to see the band fully active again and seemingly building toward a new chapter. “No Return” has everything we've always loved about the band — dark, atmospheric and emotionally charged, with driving melodies, ringing guitars and those classic TROW screams cutting through the mix.
The new track was written, recorded and produced by The Republic of Wolves, mixed and engineered by Nicholas Starrantino at Deadend Studio and mastered by Danny Kalb.
Listen to “No Return” below and stay tuned for more details on Upthread, Downthread.
