The new EP from 12th House Sun will be released on February 6, 2026 and is called 'Primary Colors' and consists of 3 singles related to colors: Red 40, Blue, and Yellow 2G. The band wanted to do a color theme and have colored visualizers to make the songs feel more special, and to build some excitement for the release of each of them. Throughout each of the songs, the lyrics talk a lot about the feeling of losing yourself, whether that be in a relationship, challenging experiences, a mental health issue, or things that just aren't meant for you. Instrumentally, they focused on having dynamics and contrast, between softer and more emotional parts, and heavy energetic guitar riffs, combining elements of shoegaze, 90s inspired heavy and dreamy alt rock, and emo.

12th House Sun is a trans fronted alternative rock band from Minneapolis that blends shoegaze, emo, and grunge. The music combines emotional lyricism with dreamy soundscapes, and high energy riffs you can dance to. 12th House Sun was started in 2019 as Kyle Schultz's solo project. After releasing two EPs during the covid pandemic, Kyle sought to bring the songs to a live audience. In 2022, drummer Nick Luke and bassist Al Grooms joined, and in 2023 the band added Ryan Shea on guitar and backup vocals/screams. The band has spent the past two years playing shows and gaining traction within the Minneapolis music scene, while working on their debut album titled 'Behind The Glass' which released on March 22nd, 2024.
