Yearning: The unbeautiful after

Yearning: the unbeautiful after is the fourth full-length from Hartford metalcore band Boundaries and the follow-up to 2024's Death Is Little More. It lands July 17, 2026 as their debut for Sumerian Records.

The band tracked it in the fall of 2025 with producer Drew Fulk (Knocked Loose, Fit For A King). Grief runs through all 14 songs — vocalist Matthew McDougal has tied the record to a fatal accident that took friends of the band the year before. Guest spots come from Make Them Suffer on "Torn wide open" and The Plot In You's Landon Tewers on "Crowned and crucified."

Three singles arrived ahead of release — "Skies cast amber black," "Death will follow me," and "Only endless" — with early praise from outlets including Revolver and Knotfest. "With the record, we aimed to be uncompromising and really plant our flag," McDougal said. The album is available to pre-order and pre-save now on limited-edition vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital.
