Come Closer's debut LP "Pretty Garbage" delivers

I stumbled on Come Closer by accident and I'm glad I did, because it's one of the most addictive albums I've heard in 2021. Think Superchunk meets The Replacements, guitar driven, melodic, jangly, amped up indie punk/pop rock and roll anthems that will get stuck in your head for days. The album is a hook-filled fest of late '80s / early '90s nostalgia, the kind of sound that never feels stale. The back half of the album is especially impressive with the final 5 song run of 'Just The Way You Are', 'High Life', 'Footsteps', 'The Last Time' and 'Rings" some of my favorites and the perfect sequencing to round out the album. That said, the album is consistent from start to finish and well worth your time.
