Dad Hats

Nashville emo/pop-punk band Dad Hats return with their third full-length, wash. rinse. repeat., out October 23, 2026 through Mind Over Matter Records. Following 2023's Spill, the 11-song record keeps the band's knack for immediate hooks and soaring melodies intact while digging further into darker, more emotional territory beneath the polished surface.

The album centers Dad Hats' mix of alternate-tuned guitars, a thundering rhythm section and Craig Turner's self-deprecating writing, turning the frustrations and repetition of adulthood into songs built to be shouted back. Recorded at Costume Party Records in Nashville, Tennessee and mixed by James Paul Wisner, whose credits include Paramore, Underoath, Dashboard Confessional and Further Seems Forever, wash. rinse. repeat. feels like a natural progression from Spill: familiar emo and pop-punk DNA, but bigger, sharper and more emotionally worn-in.

The album includes the new single “hope ur down,” along with a re-recorded version of “never better,” which first appeared earlier in 2026. wash. rinse. repeat. will be available digitally and on limited vinyl and CD through Mind Over Matter Records.
