Secret To Spare is the debut album from Los Angeles quartet Jawdropped, due September 18, 2026 via Transgressive Records / Canvasback. Across ten tracks, the band channels big-hearted indie rock, '90s alternative radio, power-pop hooks and a shaggy alt-country edge, drawing on shared touchstones including The Lemonheads, Paul Westerberg, Teenage Fanclub and Dinosaur Jr.

The record came together across spare days and weekends in 2025 between touring and day jobs, and was the first time Jawdropped built songs together in the room from the ground up. The quartet largely self-produced the album, with engineering from Colin Knight and mixing by Alex Farrar, recording live to preserve the raw feel of the band in a room.

Singles including “Monday,” “Split Lip” and “Cup” preview the record’s mix of jangling guitars, sharply melodic songwriting and bittersweet stories rooted in Los Angeles. As Roman Zangari puts it, the band wanted to capture the city’s contrast between sunshine and a darker, melancholy underside.
