Kill Gosling

Super Plume is the new album from Columbus, Ohio band Kill Gosling, due September 25, 2026 through Candlepin Records. Across nine compact tracks, the band channels the melodic urgency of Superchunk and Joyce Manor through fuzzy indie punk, shoegaze haze, and elements of second-wave emo in the vein of early The Promise Ring and Christie Front Drive.

The record marks a clear evolution in the band’s sound, leaning more heavily on jangly, fuzzed-out guitar melodies, shoegaze texture, and immediate hooks while still holding onto the high-energy attack and power pop-punk grit that defined their earlier releases. Loud distortion remains central to the guitars, giving the cleaner melodic focus a blown-out, rough-edged weight rather than smoothing it down.

The album features Chandler Maguire on guitar and vocals, Violet Eadie on guitar and vocals, Walter Maguire on bass, and Christian Gehring on drums. Eadie recorded, mixed, and mastered the album. Lead single “Pavement” is a strong lead-off track, balancing dreamy, jangly melodies with fuzzed-out guitar tones and hooks that run throughout the LP.
