Loathe

A Stranger to You is the third studio album from Liverpool alternative metal band Loathe, due July 17, 2026 via SharpTone Records. The record arrives six years after their landmark sophomore album I Let It In and It Took Everything, and marks a bold sonic evolution for the band.

Produced, engineered, and mixed by guitarist Erik Bickerstaffe, with additional mixing from Ed Al-Shakarchi, the 14-track album builds on Loathe's established foundation of crushing metalcore and delicate shoegaze atmospherics, expanding it with hypnotic shades of psychedelia, immersive synth tapestries, and genuinely unique percussive patterns. Designed to be heard front to back as a fully interconnected experience, the album integrates disparate global influences to confound listeners and sharpen the senses.

Guest appearances come from Jordan Rakei, Mansur Brown, Static Dress, bucki sugar, and NOWHERE2RUN — the duo of Jami Morgan and Eric "Shade" Balderose of Code Orange — who feature on lead single "Revenant". The album also includes 2025 single "Gifted Every Strength".
