Mirrortalk
Where Does Everyone Go When I Need Them Most
Where Does Everyone Go When I Need Them Most is Mirrortalk's first EP since the Birmingham band signed to Hassle Records in March 2026, and their first new collection since the Rest Assured EP. It's out November 27, 2026.
They made the six songs with producer Jonny Price at Lower Lane Studios, and spent a lot of that time chasing the right guitar tone. The EP brings together the metal, hardcore, shoegaze and rock the band grew up on, with vocalist and bassist Mat Coffey's melodies kept up front. "Mirrortalk has always been built on a desire to combine all the music we loved growing up," Coffey says, "but 'Where Does Everyone Go When I Need Them Most' is our greatest nod to that yet."
Half the record is already out. "Circle The Drain" arrived in March alongside the Hassle signing, "Wait My Turn" followed with a video in June, and "Forget My Name" landed in September: a song, in Coffey's words, about what it feels like to push people away when you know you need them.
The band mark release day with a hometown show at O2 Institute 3 in Birmingham. The EP is available to pre-order now on Bandcamp.
