MX LONELY

Perfect House

MX LONELY return with Perfect House, a four-song EP arriving October 2, 2026 via Julia's War Recordings. Where the Brooklyn band's debut album ALL MONSTERS looked outward at trauma, addiction, neurodivergence and self-doubt through the metaphor of monsters, the follow-up moves those tensions indoors: a collection of love letters about a house that looks beautiful and intact from the street while complicated emotions build beneath the surface.

The EP was assembled in MX LONELY's basement studio from demos the band had accumulated over its lifespan. Rather than rerecording the songs from scratch, Rae Haas, Jake Harms, Gabriel Garman and Andrew Rapp used those demos as skeletons, adding and subtracting parts as the arrangements took shape. Friends Caitlin Starr and Connor of Wiring also appear on the record, while the band used the process as an opportunity to treat its own room and recording setup as part of the music.

Lead single “March 16th (Feat. Caitlin Starr)” began as an instrumental during the sessions for ALL MONSTERS. Starr developed the hook during a later studio session, with Harms adding a weaving harmony and Haas contributing a counter-melody. The song expands into a cathartic, fuzz-heavy chorus, with its lyrics confronting the proximity and cyclical nature of violence.

MX LONELY Announce New EP Perfect House, Share “March 16th”

August 19, 2026

MX LONELY have announced Perfect House, a new four-song EP arriving October 2 via Julia's War Recordings. The Brooklyn band's follow-up to this year's ALL MONSTERS grew out of demos reshaped in their basement studio, with the record built around the image of a beautiful house that appears intact from the outside while quietly coming apart within.

The first preview is “March 16th (Feat. Caitlin Starr),” a fuzz-heavy track that began as an instrumental during the ALL MONSTERS sessions. Starr developed the hook during a later recording session, with Jake Harms adding harmony and Rae Haas contributing a counter-melody. The song arrives alongside an Owen Lehman-directed video centered around an all-out, black-and-white-clad house party and mosh pit.

Perfect House also features “Ex Rae Punk,” “Twenty Seconds” and “Bird.” MX LONELY will celebrate the EP with an October 8 release show at The Meadows in Brooklyn before heading to Europe and the UK, including appearances at London Calling Festival and Pitchfork London.
