Based in Bombay, India, Pacifist seek to push what it means to be punk in the current times, beyond sound and aesthetic - daresay, the new shape of punk to come. On their upcoming five EP, set for release on January 16th, 2026, the band unleash five tracks that elude sonic parameters. Whilst living culturally orphaned in a third world that’s set in steady decline, five is Pacifist’s sermon on a scarce & fast dying approach to music with plenty of emotional heft. Self-produced and mixed by guitarist Apurv with mastering by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, five is a long-awaited statement rooted in creativity, friendship, and distinction.

Pacifist introduce the EP with single “Running Out” - a pulsating track screaming about the state of the world inching closer to doomsday. Influence from bands like Refused and At The Drive-In pours through robust dual vocals met by unique guitar-driven melodies and hard-hitting drums. The video for the song, directed by Mehran Shaikh & Mehr Gupta, captures a dynamic, whirlwind performance from Pacifist. The second single "Skunk Leather" is also streaming. Described as an swirling ode to the road, the band take influence from bands like Cap’n Jazz, At The Drive In, Drive Like Jehu with bright, windy riffs and impassioned vocals.
