Ruby Haunt

Paper Halo

Paper Halo is Ruby Haunt's eleventh album, and it pushes the duo's dream-pop-meets-slowcore world outward without losing its late-night intimacy. Across ten tracks — from opener "Daystar" through "Half Light," "Hydroplane," and "Silver Spring" to the closing "Big Room" — Wyatt Ininns and Victor Pakpour trace memory, transformation, and the spaces we return to in search of ourselves.

Lead single "Big Room" sets the tone: a bigger, more immediate sound wrapped around a plea for rescue, circling back to Eden as both shelter and impossible destination. Its central image — a forest burned down and rebuilt again and again — gives the longing a self-destructive edge, and the accompanying video stages it as a strange romance along a darkened highway. Fans of Beach House, Nation of Language, and The Radio Dept. will find the familiar balance of cool restraint and bruised feeling.

Self-released on September 16, 2026, Paper Halo opens a new chapter for the long-running DIY project, with West Coast dates, a Mexico City show, and a 2027 European tour to follow.

Ruby Haunt Share "Big Room," First Single From New Album Paper Halo

July 16, 2026

Los Angeles dream-pop duo Ruby Haunt have shared "Big Room," the first single and video from their forthcoming eleventh album, Paper Halo, out September 16, 2026.

A meditation on longing and repetition, "Big Room" pairs a bigger, more immediate sound with the hushed, nocturnal atmosphere Wyatt Ininns and Victor Pakpour have built across a decade of self-released records. The song circles a plea for rescue — returning to Eden as both shelter and impossible destination — with a central image of a forest burned down and rebuilt again and again. Its video stages the track as a strange romance along a darkened highway, from the neon unease of Lost Highway to a motorcycle ride through a time-bending tunnel and into a neon city somewhere in Asia.

Fans of Beach House, Nation of Language, Black Marble, and The Radio Dept. will recognize the balance of cool restraint and bruised feeling. "Big Room" opens the Paper Halo cycle ahead of West Coast dates, a Mexico City show, and a 2027 European tour. Watch the video and listen below.
