Seer Believer

Bent is the debut album from Seer Believer, the outlet of Denver songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nick Manske (Gleemer). Manske started writing it in October 2018 and cut it over weekends and holidays through 2019 with his Gleemer bandmates — Corey Coffman on engineering, mixing and production, Charlie O'Neil on drums — before Will Yip mastered it for his Memory Music label. It arrived May 29, 2020.

Where Gleemer leans dense and fuzzy, Bent is quieter and more diaristic, closer to the calmer side of Pianos Become the Teeth and Title Fight, with nods to The Velvet Teen and David Bazan. Across nine tracks Manske writes bluntly about strained relationships, drug abuse and the loss of his brother, his gravelly voice full of intent. Of lead single "Hard," he said it's "basically about longing and separation — the thoughts that race through your head when you're driving and you're far away."
