Senses Fail

I remember hearing this EP 17 years ago, when it was first released on ECA Records. I knew the band was onto something when I first heard it, even though it was definitely rough around the edges. With subsequent releases, they grew their fan base, beefed up the production of their later albums and polished their sound. Back with a re-recorded version of Bastard Son, originally a b-side that did not appear on the original version, it comes as no surprise that Senses Fail has also beefed up the production here, tightened the arrangements, and polished the original edges for a cleaner and more poppy version of the original. It sounds good and has me curious to hear the updated versions of the other original 7 songs that appeared on this EP. I look forward to seeing them perform this EP it its entirety at Riot Fest in a couple of weeks and to re-visiting this EP again with the new versions.
