Silica

Alone in Tow

There’s a tension between humans and nature, the city and the natural world. Throughout their 11-song debut LP, “Alone In Tow,” Silica explore this contrast through a sound drenched in noise and melody.

Formed just three years ago out of London’s hardcore scene, Silica brings together three friends from bands like Hitmen, Layback, and Stages in Faith. Together, they’ve built something that feels both familiar and distinct from their previous projects, drawing from the worlds of ’90s alternative rock and post-hardcore. With influences like Hum, Catherine Wheel, Mineral, Quicksand, and Supertouch, “Alone In Tow” offers glimpses of each while creating the band’s unique sound.

Across nearly 40 minutes, the album explores belonging, purpose, anxiety, resilience, and love, using the contrasting imagery of London’s concrete landscape and its wildlife as a backdrop. “Alone In Tow” is Silica’s first full-length and their debut release on Sunday Drive Records, out everywhere this autumn.

Silica Sign to Sunday Drive Records, Announce Debut LP 'Alone in Tow' and Share New Single “Myatt's Song”

October 27, 2026

London-based alternative rock trio Silica have signed to Sunday Drive Records and announced their debut full-length, Alone in Tow, arriving November 20. Alongside the announcement, the band has shared their new single, “Myatt's Song,” offering a taste of their dense, atmospheric guitar work and melodic, '90s-inspired post-hardcore sound.

Formed just three years ago out of London's hardcore scene, Silica brings together members of Hitmen, Layback, and Stages in Faith. Drawing from the heavier, more melodic corners of '90s alternative rock, the band cites influences including Hum, Catherine Wheel, Mineral, Quicksand, and Supertouch, combining thick, textured guitars and swirling melodies with the raw urgency of their hardcore roots.

Alone in Tow arrives November 20 via Sunday Drive Records, with limited-edition vinyl available to pre-order now. Head over to our Alone in Tow album coverage page for more details, the full tracklist, and pre-order information.
