Stab’s debut album Lost In Maine arrives July 24 through Unbeaten Records, introducing the New England band’s punchy, emotionally direct take on melodic hardcore. The seven-track record was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Evan Sammons, and pulls from the band’s home region as much as the hardcore scene that shaped them.

The album follows “New England Numb,” featuring Mat Kerkes of Citizen, and the second single “Irish Goodbye.” Closing out the record, “Irish Goodbye” hits fast with infectious guitar lines, gang vocals, and vocalist Nik Coggins cutting through with lyrics about staying true to yourself and leaving fake friends behind.

In the band’s words, Stab is “a love letter to where we’re from.” Across Lost In Maine, they use that backdrop to trace the loneliness of New England winters, summer relationships, addiction, loss, and the grind of moving forward anyway.
