Sweet Teeth
The Void That Eats The Heart
Sweet Teeth’s new album The Void That Eats The Heart arrives July 15, 2026 via De:Nihil Records (Swe), Engineer Records (UK), and Scene Police Records (Ger), with Skeletunes Records and Double Helix Records handling limited North American editions. Hailing from Finspång, Sweden, the band describe their sound, half-jokingly and pretty accurately, as “Hüskerrock”: melodic punk force, fuzzy power pop, and rough-edged emotion rooted in the spirit of Hüsker Dü.
The record pulls from the same lane as Hüsker Dü, Social Distortion, Off With Their Heads, Hot Water Music, Foo Fighters, and Mercy Music, but Sweet Teeth keep it direct and scrappy rather than polished. Lead single “Normal People Freak Me Out” hits fast, loud, and immediate, with soaring guitars, buzzing bass, explosive drums, and vocals that swing between desperation and melody.
The Void That Eats The Heart is packed with songs that push straight at heartbreak, frustration, anxiety, and the feeling of trying to stay alive inside your own head. The band sharpen the sound they have been building into a 13-track record that feels catchy, ragged, and completely locked in.
Sweet Teeth features seasoned players from Sweden’s punk and hardcore underground, with roots connected to Disfear, Deadbeats, Tormented, and Studio Underjord.
