Warper

If Anything/Headhang is the debut release from Warper, the Loveland, Colorado band built around Jack McManaman (guitar, vocals, bass) and drummer Adam Gilsdorf. Out January 31, 2020, the two-track single was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Corey Coffman of Gleemer — the start of a long working relationship — and introduced the heavy, melancholy guitar sound Warper would come to call "downer shoegaze."

It pairs "If Anything," which the band released a video for, with "Headhang," setting the template of distorted, wall-of-guitar textures and downcast melodies that runs all the way through to their 2025 debut LP Something, Sometime.
