Wild Pink
Still Coming Down
Wild Pink return with Still Coming Down, their sixth full-length and second album for Fire Talk. Following 2024’s Dulling the Horns, the record pushes further into direct, expansive rock built for the stage, with John Ross’ sharp character sketches carried by huge guitars, harmonica, horns, keys and pedal steel.
The album was recorded in one week at Drop of Sun in Asheville with producer and engineer Alex Farrar, whose credits include Bnny, Wednesday, Squirrel Flower and Samia. Ross approached the sessions with less overthinking than on previous records, leaning into the energy of the grunge bands he loved as a teenager. “Strangely, I feel like I’ve found my voice on this record,” he says.
Still Coming Down features contributions from Meg Duffy of Hand Habits, MJ Lenderman and Lenderman’s The Wind bandmates Landon George and Xandy Chelmis. Across songs including “Round Of Applause At The End Of The World,” “Box Store” and “500 Is The New 250,” Wild Pink explore misinformation, consumer culture and a warped, distinctly American cast of drifters, believers and roadside characters.
The album arrives August 21, 2026 via Fire Talk.
