Chico Release Debut Self-Titled Album via New Morality Zine

Alternative hardcore band Chico have released their debut self-titled album today through New Morality Zine. Across ten tracks, Chico pairs hardcore aggression with alternative-rock groove, moving between sweltering riffs, laid-back melodies, and a mix of shouted and sung vocals.

The record centers on the emotional highs and lows of building your life around a band — the joy, doubt, determination, sacrifice, and frustration that come with chasing that goal. Chico was produced by Taylor Hecocks in Orange, California, with drums recorded with Adam Castilla at Brick Mansion Recordings and mixing and mastering by Scott Goodrich.

Chico will celebrate the album with a Los Angeles release show at AboveTheBridge on August 21 before heading out with Death Lens for a run of Texas and California dates beginning September 25. Stream Chico now or pick up the LP through New Morality Zine.
