Koyo share new single/video for "You Hate Me" from forthcoming LP "Barely Here" out May 8 via Pure Noise
Koyo are gearing up for the imminent release of their sophomore album, Barely Here, arriving May 8th via Pure Noise Records. Today the Long Island punk upstarts are back with one more hook-laden new single, "You Hate Me" now streaming with official video below.
Clocking in at ten songs in just 28 minutes, Barely Here is a lean blast of incredibly anthemic punk that packs the firecracker guts of The Movielife, the widescreen hooks of Taking Back Sunday, and the tuneful grit of Silent Majority—but more than anything it sounds like Koyo themselves. Lead single "Irreversible" highlighted the band's mastery of blistering tempos, "What I'm Worth" dove into darker waters, and now "You Hate Me" highlights Koyo's unparalleled ability to pack hook after hook into a punk song.
