Oso Oso have announced their sixth full-length album, an exchange of information, due November 6 via Feral Twin. The record marks the Long Island band's signing to the new label founded by Hop Along drummer Mark Quinlan, and will serve as Feral Twin's inaugural release.
Along with the announcement, Oso Oso have shared lead single "know you know me better," a bright, upbeat rush of melodic pop-punk that keeps building before breaking open into a huge chorus. It hits a sweet spot Oso Oso have always been great at — immediately catchy guitar rock with just enough emo and punk bite underneath it.
Jade Lilitri describes the new record as a chance to take stock of what Oso Oso has become across five previous albums while still finding somewhere new to go. The result is described as a bigger-sounding rock record that moves between the polished indie rock of the band's recent work and some of the emo and punk energy of its earlier years. an exchange of information follows 2024's life till bones.
