Oso Oso

an exchange of information

an exchange of information is the sixth full-length from Oso Oso, the Long Beach, New York project led by Jade Lilitri. Due November 6, 2026, the 12-song album is also the first release from Feral Twin, the new independent label founded by Hop Along drummer Mark Quinlan.

The record finds Lilitri looking back at what Oso Oso has become across five previous albums while figuring out where the project can still go next. Much of the guitar work and vocal melody was already mapped out before recording began, which let the core songs take shape quickly in the studio. Guitarist Eddy Rodriguez, Oso Oso's other full-time member, also wrote some of his own parts during the sessions.

Sonically, an exchange of information moves between the polished, melodic indie rock Oso Oso has grown into and flashes of the emo and punk energy that fueled the project's earlier material. Lead single "know you know me better" gets there immediately: an upbeat, building pop-punk song that keeps adding momentum before opening up into a big chorus.

Lilitri says that by the time a project reaches its sixth LP, its own past records start becoming part of the influence. That push and pull between knowing what Oso Oso is and trying to find somewhere new to take it sits at the center of an exchange of information.

Oso Oso Announce New Album an exchange of information, Share “know you know me better”

September 1, 2026

Oso Oso have announced their sixth full-length album, an exchange of information, due November 6 via Feral Twin. The record marks the Long Island band's signing to the new label founded by Hop Along drummer Mark Quinlan, and will serve as Feral Twin's inaugural release.

Along with the announcement, Oso Oso have shared lead single "know you know me better," a bright, upbeat rush of melodic pop-punk that keeps building before breaking open into a huge chorus. It hits a sweet spot Oso Oso have always been great at — immediately catchy guitar rock with just enough emo and punk bite underneath it.

Jade Lilitri describes the new record as a chance to take stock of what Oso Oso has become across five previous albums while still finding somewhere new to go. The result is described as a bigger-sounding rock record that moves between the polished indie rock of the band's recent work and some of the emo and punk energy of its earlier years. an exchange of information follows 2024's life till bones.
