Comeback Kid

Chosen Hell

Chosen Hell is Comeback Kid's eighth album and their first full-length since 2022's Heavy Steps. It's out November 6, 2026 via SharpTone Records in the U.S. and Dine Alone Records in Canada. The current lineup, Andrew Neufeld with guitarists Jeremy Hiebert and Stu Ross, bassist Chase Brenneman and drummer Terrance Pettitt, recorded it with Will Putney at his Graphic Nature Audio studio in New Jersey. Neufeld points out that Putney has backed the band from early on and understood what they were going for.

The writing went differently this time. Neufeld says he let his guard down and handed more of the songs over to the rest of the band, which he calls new territory for them. The 11 tracks still sit on the fast, melodic hardcore CBK built their name on, with more metal and punk pushing in from the edges and a few quieter, more exposed moments.

Two guests appear. Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante sings on "Shedding Season," and Incendiary's Brendan Garrone is on "Yesterday's Gone," the second single. The title track came first, in August. Neufeld says it's about right and wrong and the choices people make that hold them back.

The cover isn't a digital render. Melbourne artist Callum Preston built the structure on it by hand. Comeback Kid start a U.S. tour the day after release, beginning November 7 at Flyover Fest in Oklahoma City.

Comeback Kid Share New Single “Yesterday’s Gone” Featuring Incendiary’s Brendan Garrone

October 2, 2026

Comeback Kid have released “Yesterday’s Gone,” the second single from their eighth album Chosen Hell, out November 6 via SharpTone Records in the U.S. and Dine Alone Records in Canada. The track features Incendiary frontman Brendan Garrone, one of only two guests on the record, and comes with a music video co-directed by Alex McFarland and Jordy Clarke.

Andrew Neufeld describes the song as the band leaning on what they do best: their melodic signature over aggressive, upbeat hardcore, capped with a heavy breakdown. Getting Garrone on it, he says, “just upped the ante.” The song was rewritten several times, pulling ideas from different demos, and lyrically it’s about letting go of the past instead of letting it drag you down.

Chosen Hell follows 2022’s Heavy Steps and was recorded with Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio in New Jersey. The album’s other guest is Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, on “Shedding Season.” Comeback Kid head out on a U.S. run right after release, starting November 7 at Flyover Fest in Oklahoma City, with The Warriors, Defeater, Dead Heat and Barrio Slam among the support across the dates.
