Comeback Kid Share New Single “Yesterday’s Gone” Featuring Incendiary’s Brendan Garrone

Comeback Kid have released “Yesterday’s Gone,” the second single from their eighth album Chosen Hell, out November 6 via SharpTone Records in the U.S. and Dine Alone Records in Canada. The track features Incendiary frontman Brendan Garrone, one of only two guests on the record, and comes with a music video co-directed by Alex McFarland and Jordy Clarke.
Andrew Neufeld describes the song as the band leaning on what they do best: their melodic signature over aggressive, upbeat hardcore, capped with a heavy breakdown. Getting Garrone on it, he says, “just upped the ante.” The song was rewritten several times, pulling ideas from different demos, and lyrically it’s about letting go of the past instead of letting it drag you down.
Chosen Hell follows 2022’s Heavy Steps and was recorded with Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio in New Jersey. The album’s other guest is Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, on “Shedding Season.” Comeback Kid head out on a U.S. run right after release, starting November 7 at Flyover Fest in Oklahoma City, with The Warriors, Defeater, Dead Heat and Barrio Slam among the support across the dates.
