New Music Friday at the Wave — November 6, 2026
November 6, 2026
Today’s a big release day over at the Wave. We’ve got 11 records out today, from hazy indie rock, dream pop, shoegaze and grungegaze to emo, pop-punk, skate punk, hardcore and everything in between. Give the tracks below a spin and click into each release for more info and places to stream the full record.
- Teenage Wrist — A Different Shine. A surprise three-song EP from one of our favorite grungegaze bands, with big guitars and monster hooks and Failure’s Ken Andrews behind the boards.
- sundots — On The Quay. Hazy indie rock with a full band behind it for the first time.
- Cosmic Joke — Suburban Decay. SoCal skate punk with a hardcore edge.
- Tearjerker — Ghosts. Raspy, melodic punk for fans of Leatherface and Hot Water Music.
- Comeback Kid — Chosen Hell. Fast, melodic hardcore recorded with Will Putney.
- FFO: Chillin — High Horse. Loose slacker-rock guitars, punk energy and big hooks.
- Deux Visages — Call It Goodbye. Dream pop and shoegaze that get plenty loud when the guitars kick in.
- Bad Brains — ARE YOU READY: THE FIRST STUDIO RECORDING (Inner Ear - March 1979). The first official release of the band’s March 1979 Inner Ear session, including the original studio recording of “Pay to Cum.”
- Spanish Love Songs — Future Nausea. The band’s melodic punk opens up into heartland rock with ringing guitars and synths.
- Oso Oso — an exchange of information. Hooky indie rock that leans back into Jade Lilitri’s emo and punk roots.
- New Junk City — Where Could I Go?. Atlanta indie punk with the heart and hooks of a good pop-punk record.
