OVERSIZE Return With Crushing New Single “Separate,” Introduce New Vocalist Nick Nowak

British alt-shoegaze outfit OVERSIZE have returned with a stunning new single, “Separate,” released today via SharpTone Records. Marking a powerful new chapter, the band returns a year after the release of their debut album, Vital Signs, to introduce brand new vocalist Nick Nowak.

The band comments, “We're incredibly excited to start this new chapter, not just with a new member, but also with a new creative outlook, after releasing our debut record we have a much better understanding of who we are as musicians and as a band — and we're so happy to share a little part of what we've been working on. This first single was actually the last song we wrote before heading into the studio to record. We finished it about a week before and despite thinking we had our minds set on which tracks we were going to track, it was abundantly clear we had to do this one, that's just the way it goes sometimes I guess!”

“Separate” carries forward the band’s ’90s-inspired heavy alternative sound while leaning further into their Deftones influences, pairing thick, grunge-heavy distortion and shoegaze atmosphere with post-hardcore intensity, soaring melodies and infectious hooks—all with a bigger, more polished alt-metal sound.

We were huge fans of their debut LP, Vital Signs, and this first taste of the band's new chapter has us even more excited for what's to come.
