Fans of Ben Quad, The Wonder Years, and The Hotelier will find this album a resonant and dynamic journey into the band's evolving signature sound.
Philadelphia shoegaze band Nothing is releasing their fifth studio album, "A Short History of Decay," via Run For Cover Records/Civilians on February 27th. The album showcases a mix of industrial-gaze intensity and stark vulnerability, drawing comparisons to My Bloody Valentine and Whirr. Trauma Ray's upcoming EP "Carnival" set for release in February 2026 showcases their blend of shoegaze, metal, and grunge influences, following their successful debut "Chameleon" on Dais Records. The five-track release, including the single "Hannibal," delves into moody, introspective themes with a sound that evolves from loud riffs to stark beauty. With nods to bands like Slowdive and Smashing Pumpkins and in some cases Helmet-like heavier moments, Trauma Ray's intense and exploratory work reflects a band growing more formidable with each release.
New Bedford, Massachusetts’ riff masters A WILHELM SCREAM will release "Cheap Heat" on February 27, 2026, their 6th studio LP blending melodic hardcore and punk rock with anthemic fist-in-the-air hooks. Drawing influence from their classic albums "Ruiner" and "Career Suicide", the band's unique sound captivates with fierce vocals, relentless guitars, and dark themes. The album's ten tracks, including lead single "Midnight Ghost" showcase the band's unapologetic, emotionally charged, gritty style, delivering an intense experience in just under 30 minutes.
