October 24, 2025 – Today, the Central Massachusetts emo outfit Good Sleepy has announced their sophomore LP CONSTANT HUMMING set for release on February 13th, 2026. With the news, they return with the first single off their forthcoming record “TRAP,” available to stream now on all platforms.

With “TRAP,” Good Sleepy ventures into darker, more volatile sonic territory, without losing the heart that’s driven them from the start. “It’s been a long time since we released a full-length record. We’ve grown in our sound quite a bit since our last album and feel that this song encapsulates our future direction very well, while also pushing some of the more raw, familiar elements that are present in our previous releases,” shares lead singer of Good Sleepy,” Thomas Sullivan. “’TRAP’ was one of the first songs we wrote for the album in the beginning of 2023. It feels unreal to be finally releasing it. Stoked for it to finally be heard.”

Constant Humming follows the band’s 2021 debut LP everysinglelittlebit (No Sleep Records), which was produced by Chris Freeman (Hot Mulligan) and Gary Cioni (Crime in Stereo). While their first record experimented with ambient soundscapes blended with their Midwest emo roots, this new record finds Good Sleepy refining and fully embracing a signature sound that’s uniquely their own – raw, dynamic, and emotionally resonant.

Self-recorded over the course of four years in the secluded mountains of Central Massachusetts, this album was co-produced with Boston-based producer Charlie Burket (Ringpop!, Park National). It marks the first time since high school, the band of four has come together to make a cohesive body of work.

Lyrically, the record explores themes of nostalgia, emotional backlog, and the lingering noise of unspoken feelings what vocalist Thomas Sullivan calls “a constant humming in the back of my mind.” Spanning 14 hard-hitting tracks, the album tackles everything from the confusion of early adulthood to fractured relationships, spiritual dissonance, and the tug-of-war between growth and regression.

Album Review: Good Sleepy level up with a louder, heavier, hook-filled sophomore LP packed with anthems built for bigger rooms

February 18, 2026

On Constant Humming, Good Sleepy sound fully locked in. The Central Massachusetts quartet’s sophomore LP is a clear leap forward from 2021’s everysinglelittlebit, sharpening both songwriting and production into something louder, heavier, and far more confident. Where their debut leaned into atmosphere, this record thrives on momentum—big choruses, tightened riffs, louder guitars, and an emotional immediacy that carries across all 14 tracks.

The singles outline the album’s range well. “TRAP” sets a darker, more volatile tone without losing the band’s emotional core. “ZZZ” is pure catharsis—fast, punchy, and built for movement—turning burnout into release. “LOOMING” offers a melodic counterbalance, pairing bright, indie-leaning hooks with an anxious undercurrent rooted in nostalgia and the grind of modern life.

Standout tracks push things even further. “Eyes Wide Open” is a clear highlight: an aggressive, punchy emo anthem stacked with sharp riffs, sticky melodies, and head-bobbing hooks that feel tailor-made for packed rooms. “745” taps into the twinklier, more atmospheric side of Good Sleepy’s earlier material, but with a newfound confidence and weight that folds seamlessly into the album’s heavier backbone.

Pulling influence from bands like Title Fight, Arm’s Length, Knuckle Puck, and the broader modern emo-punk wave, Constant Humming never feels derivative. Still, the album’s consistency can occasionally work against it—on longer listens, some tracks blur together, making individual moments harder to separate. It’s a minor drawback, and one that feels more like the byproduct of a band settling into its sound than a lack of ideas.

Even so, Constant Humming feels like a turning point. While Good Sleepy may not yet be a household name, this is the record that pushes them beyond local buzz and firmly into the national conversation. They belong in the same sentences as Real Friends, Hot Mulligan, Ben Quad, Charmer, and Arm’s Length—not as imitators, but as part of the new wave helping define the current emo-punk revival. If this album is any indication, Good Sleepy are aiming higher—and they’re ready for it.

Good Sleepy finds warmth with uncertainty with new single "Looming" from forthcoming LP

January 16, 2026

Today, the Central Massachusetts emo outfit Good Sleepy has released a new melodic single, “LOOMING.” This is their final single off their upcoming sophomore LP CONSTANT HUMMING set for release on February 13th, 2026.

Good Sleepy offers a moment of clarity with their new track. While still grounded in honest, hard-hitting feelings and intensity in performance, the song leans into a more melodic, indie groove that feels open and inviting. Bright hooks contrasting an anxious undercurrent make this one of the band’s most immediately engaging tracks to date. As the final single ahead of their forthcoming LP, “LOOMING” examines the abrasive grind of modern daily life, rooted in a longing for the comfort and nostalgia of the past.

Good Sleepy shared their thoughts on the new single below:

"’LOOMING’ is the third and final single release from our upcoming 14-track LP. This is one of our favorites off of the upcoming album, and we're stoked to finally be putting it out there. It showcases a side of the album that's a bit more indie rock and pop influenced. It's still hard-hitting and emotional, but has a more lighthearted feel to it than what we typically write. It's a relatable and catchy song that we thought most people could easily get down with.”

Today, the Central Massachusetts emo outfit Good Sleepy has released a new high-energy single “ZZZ.” This is their second single off their upcoming sophomore LP CONSTANT HUMMING set for release on February 13th, 2026.

This new single is packed with melodic yet hard-hitting riffs and gritty vocals. Lyrically, the band channels the ache of walking away from someone you have tried to help for far too long, a theme reflected in lines like “I know you want to fly, but I’m done with catching you.” There’s a sense of cathartic release throughout the song, transforming pain into movement.

Good Sleepy shared their thoughts on the new single below:

“With our first single, ‘TRAP’, we were focused on releasing a song that was familiar to our fanbase, while also showcasing a development in our sound. "ZZZ" feels like a step in a different direction for us, being the result of lots of new influences that we have had since our last LP. It's fast-paced, fun, and hard-hitting all the way through. We had a blast playing this song on tour over the summer and seeing people move to it. It's definitely one of our favorites off of the album, we're stoked to finally be getting it out there.”
